I am looking for info on my father he was in the army his name was General Bryant b. 1913 in Monroe, Akransas. If anyone could help find any records on him that would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks
Willette

Hi Chip,
I misunderstood and I apologize. We'll just have to work within the limitations of the system, I suppose. It would be nice if some kind manager (hint) would place a copy of useful links to their needed respective areas.

Dae,
I know how to add links to these discussions but they disappear from view way too quickly here due to the scroll factor. I'd like to see some of these links appear in the "Links to help you" area.

Hi Chip,
You seem to have mastered the technique by simply using the linked chain icon.

Is there a way for us to add links? I have found a couple of very good ones for research:
Military.com Free site. All modern wars.

Lone Sentry Free site. Photographs, Documents, and Research on World War II

I am looking for the military information on my father. He would have served in the 1940s probably during the war. He claimed to have been in the army, and I personally witnessed him being treated for years at a veteran's hospital in Reading PA. Nevertheless I can find absolutely nothing regarding his military service. Can anyone suggest where I might try looking, other than Ancestry's military records database? I would also like to be able to get his medical records.

Hiya. My grandfather faught in WWII. He was on Normandy Beach (Omaha) on D-Day. I have plenty of info on him (my dad has all his medals and such and we've visited Omaha Beach) but Im looking for info on his brother. I have been told that one of his brothers was a POW in WWII. He was in the Phillipeans and was in the infamous Batan March. I believe the brother was Vilho Lehto. His rank is on his tombstone as SSGT (Army) Now I have searched the Nara site only to find my grandfather's WWII enlistment records but nothing on Vilho. He died in 1977 in Caroline, NY (aka Brookton)

In case anyone is interested, I have a website, Bits of Blue and Gray, An American Civil War Notebook www.bitsofblueandgray.com that has monthly columns, letters from soldiers, pictures, the Roster of Union Soldiers from Delaware and other miscellaneous info. Enjoy!
