Two Preachers in Georgia-John Collinsworth and son-in-law Robert Milton Carter

John was a foot stomping, circuit riding preacher. He had schools, roads and many children named for him. Born 22 Feb 1786 Brunswick Co Va the family migrated to SC where CONVERTED at 13 years old- and was admitted for trial in 1807 Charleston SC. He had a leper colony early in Ga. He married Mildred L Scarborough about 1815,probably Morgan Co Ga. (She was born Burke Co Ga according to her obit) He died in Eatonton, Putnam Ga, and willed his few possessions-a Bible and Books.
Their dtr Martha Mildred born 26 Oct 1819 Morgan Co Ga married Putnam 1837 Dr. Robert Milton Carter born 1813 Ga died 1864 Terrell Co Ga.The Civil War took all his possessions in Gordon Co Ga and he moved in poverty to Terrell- where he died at 51. One son was there. Ms Gerry Hill Albany Ga
