I'm just curious if any of you have Nice in our line?  I descend from John Nice & Ann Coffin, their daughter Mary Ann married William Speece.

Mine are spelled Knisely, though. (and Kneissle, Knussli, Nussli, & Nusli) My earliest one in the US is Hans Knussli born 1624 in Zell, Zurich, Switz. & died 1688 in Lancaster, PA. His wife was Elspeth Muller(maybe Miller?) Their son Antoni Kneissle married Magdalena Hempstead, and they lived in Millersville, Lancaster, PA.Other places my Knisely's lived in US are:
Hempfield Twp, Lancaster, PA,
Warrington Twp, York, PA,
Bedford, York, PA
New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas, OH,
and Galion, Crawford, OH

My earliest one is Martin Nussli, born 1499 in Switzerland, who married Barbara ? who was also born in Switz. in 1499.

My Nicely's are also supposed to be Swiss/German. They eventually settled in the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania area.
