Hi Lorraine, I have some info re your Jane Noble. Her parents were Martha Hindman 1807 - 1890 age 83 in Lisnaskea, father John Noble b 1802 in Fermanagh.

Her mother was alive when she went to Australia, maybe they had a falling out!

Hi Michael - At one time I thought I might be a descendant of Mgr Arthur Noble as well. I noticed that with a 60/67 similarity, we have a MCRA around 425 years ago (using a generation time of 25 years). I then reviewed your ancestry.com file to see I could find a place to fit.  However, at the moment I saw no obvious place.  Currently, the oldest ancestor I have identified is a John Noble born c 1795 probably in County Down.  He had a sister Hannah born 1790.  Still more digging to do.  Any suggestions?

Hi, I was on FTDNA and in the NOBLE Group there is a Kit # 36865 which lists Maj. Arthur Noble b 1654 d 1731 County Fermanagh as Parental Ancestor.  Does this belong to anyone in this group???

Suzanne - the match you found  on FTDNA - kit number N23705 is me. I will have to check that out later today - unfortunately 12 markers is very little - I have had 111 done. I will get back to you either here or from FTDNA - this could be very interesting.

Being very obstinate and not wanting to give up, I am trying to find out who matches my brother on FTDNA at 12 markers, with haplogroup BY3194. The name is 'Mr Noble', ancestor is John Noble 1817 Fermanagh, 1861 Ontario. 

The match is also on the Noble results in group 1, with kit # N23705.

I have results from Yfull, which show 3 matches, including 2 from France. Two are known matches, the other is a Frenchman from the Loire region. He has replied to my message and seems interested in being involved.

There were so many families that went to Canada, some of them must be related?

If only the Irish records were not so hard to find........

Hi, I have just joined this group in the hope of tracing my g grandmother and her ancestors, which I have been researching on and off for about 5 years.

All I know at the moment is that her name is Jane Noble she was born Enniskillen, Ireland  abt 1832,  and she married a Joseph Lewis in NSW Australia in 1853.

The rest of the information I have is very murky. 

There is a Jane Noble  (COE) that immigrated to Australia in 1852 on a ship named the David Mciver,   I have a copy of the passenger list and someone has written on it that her parents were John and Martha both deceased, I don't know if this was added by someone from Ancestry?  and they are just guessing the name of her parents or if it was added my the irrigation board?

I also have a copy of her Death Cert.and my grandmothers Birth cert both of which state that she had no parents  which seems to confirm that she could have been an orphan at the time of immigration?
