I am working on the Power/Powers line that traces back to Sampson Power who emigrated from England or Ireland through Lower Norfolk, VA. He died about 1720-1730...had son Samuel..who had son Sampson...who had son William.  This line ended up in Lunenburg and Mecklenburg, VA. Any information would be appreciated

My Powers starts with my great great grandfather, John Powers. He was born in Bridgewater Ma. in 1805 and died in Illinois, in 1862. My great grandfather, John Holbrook Powers and his two brothers, came to Nebraska, in 1874. John Holbrook, stayed in Nebraska, he died in 1918. Brother, Aaron Ford Powers, went to Snohomish Washington, he died in 1905. Brother, Charles Robert Powers, went to Pacific Grove California. He died in 1920. I can't find out who old John Powers' parents are. I have heard different names, but can't prove it. Would appreciate any information.

My powers begin with my great great great grandmother, Hannah Ann Powers Carter. Her parents were J & Sarah Powers and her brother was Pleasant Powers who also had a large family. The Powers/Rudd/Carters frequently intermarried in Weakley & Carroll counties, TN, and some ended up in Texarkana, AR. Would love to share information with anyone.

@Grace Powers Kowis - Where in TN are your Powers' from? I am researching Thomas Powers brn 1820s in Ireland, married Sarah McNabb ab 1865 in Marion Co, TN.

I am looking for information on Levi Powers born 1805 in Marion South Carolina and later moved his family to Georgetown South Carolina.  He was married to Massie Barfield born 1813 daughter of Elizabeth Windham Barfield.  I have found the family in the census records and buried in Goude Cemetery in Georgetown SC...but would love to find his parents and any siblings.  We think that Levi was the brother of Savage Powers born 1800 and Gadi Powers born 1810....all three family were in the Georgetown South Carolina area.  If you can help please let me know.

My mother was of the Powers family who were in SC in 1790, spread out to Alabama, Mississippi, and then Texas. I'd be willing to share information with anyone searching those families.
