Hi Connie, there are North, Central, South, & West chapters. Longs Peak & Mount Evans chapters cover Denver. http://www.cossar.us/chapters.html. Longs Peak meets in Frederick. The Web page of the Mount Evans chapter states that it covers Denver. You can find who to contact via links on the page located at the Web address I gave.
Hi Tim
As far as we know no one has joined in either DAR or SAR. The latest I could find was 1961, which is almost as old as I am LOL. I have death certs for the earlier folks, and Census on back to the son of the Soldier.
Thanks
Connie
Hello
I am doing this post for my husband Robert who is decended from 2 rev war Soldiers. My Husband has ALS and wants to join before his symptoms get worse so that he can share in this with our 11 yo son who would join the Children of the American revolution.
He is decended from Richard Hall born: 1763 and died 1856 in Vermont. He enlisted in 1781 and is shown in Mass. Revolution War Soldiers, but not in the DAR listings. The other is Samuel Stevens b 1732 England, died 1812 in Vermont. He was in the Mass Volunteers, and does have a listing in DAR. so would it be best to do Samuel and use what DAR documentation is there and fill in the blanks? We live in Denver Colorado so not sure which chapter to contact or their info on the web as to where they meetings are and who to contact.
Thanks for any tips you can give me
Thanks
Connie
