I've been researching my family lines for years and have gone as far as I can here in America. Now onto Ireland and Scotland. In Scotland were in Ayr, Ayrshire, Snodgrass Village. I have pictures of the old Manor House and surrounding buildings that were taken back in the early 90's before they were tore down and the property sold off. So I'm still looking for any info in Scotland on the surname of Snodgrass and all of it's different spellings.

Hello everyone,
Bruce and Scott were my great grandparents they came to New York in 1849, stayed there for a while, then Illinois ending up in Iowa.
They came from the Border area Selkirshire and Roxburghshire.

Am researching Duncan McNabb who married Hannah Cameron, daughter of "Castle" John Cameron and his wife Annabella McLennan who came to the Puslinch Ontario area @ 1841. The Camerons were from Ullapool, Rossshire, Scotland, but I cannot trace Duncan McNabb further back. Duncan and Hannah Cameron were married @ 1846, and had children Mary, Anabella, John and Alexander. John moved to Michigan in 1879.

Greetings all. I am researching Archibald Stewart b. 1792 Refluich Farm parish of Kilcalmonell & Kilberry. His parents were David Stewart & Elizabeth McGill. He arrived in Canada 1819, I have yet to find him on a passenger list.
Wife # one is supposed to be Marion Walker m. 24 February 1811 Kilcalmonell. I don't know what became of her. wife # 2 Flor Patton/ Patterson/ Patison etc I have found no wedding for them in Canada or Scotland I do know their first born was named David born Lachine Quebec 1821. Flora died in 1825 and Archie remarried wife # 3 Agnes Anderson McNab Twp. Ont. abt.1827/28.

I am researching my family name of Gregson. My 2x great grandfather, Henry Gregson from Liverpool, met and married Margaret Davidson who was born in Wick in 1832. They were married in Leith in 1850 and then travelled down to London (Poplar) where they settled. I believe Margaret's mother came from Orkney - South Ronaldsay, but I don't know her family name or where Margaret's father came from. Does anyone have any clues??

I'm interested in all occurences of the name McIlhagga and its variants, eg McIlhagger, McIlhaga, McElhago, &c. I'm involved in a 'Clan' website which is being remodelled at present. I also write a blog at
