I am Valerie May Sisson, Melbourne, Australia.
Grandfather, William Charles Henry Sisson married Letitia Elliott, Australia.
G Grandfather, Charles Sisson, Australia or U.K.
Can only trace name back to U.K in late 1700s.
Was it English, French or Scandinavian?

I have an ancestor named SISSON Yeildhall (1744-1777), wife of Thomas Spurrier of Anne Arundel County, MD, but there is not enough known about her ancestors to demonstrate that Sisson was a family name that she was given as a first name.
