Wadwell

The Wadwell surname is unusual and seems to have originated around the Peterborough/Northamptonshire, England area. However there were also early Wadwells (pre 1800) in the Canterbury, Kent area. Suspect the Kent ones went to US as there are Wadwells there right back to the 1700s.  Also in Australia where they all seem to descend from one man who emigrated in the 1860s.  My branch is the Essex Wadwells, however would love to discuss this surname with anyone connected to it any where.
