Greetings Alana, I was wondering where in Quebec I can write for a death certificate of someone who passed in the 1980s. Do they copy and send those out easily, I have no index or date of death. Unfortunately.
Is there someplace I should write to-- health office or something? I'm new at Canadian research, but can help you with any American, if needed!

My Devlin's are all in PA in the late 1800's. Most of them stayed there but a bunch moved to Ohio. Does any of this look like any of yours?

Alana you posted something about a Devlin line - please tell me if you are connected.

Hi Alana! I've mainly focused on my one direct line that moved to Braintree in Essex England and then on to America, so I know there are siblings, aunts uncles that stayed behind but I don't have much yet on them. I do have 2 books that I could do look-ups in for you (maybe you already have them) - "The Holly and the Horn - Burnett of Leys Family & Branches", and "Crannog to Castle - A History of the Burnett Family in Scotland".

Hi Alana it was neat to read your message to me about your Dunlop line from Scotland. It will be interesting to find out if the Dunlap name originated from the spelling of Dunlop. I do think it is a good probability.

Hi Alana! I see that you are interested in Burnetts, and it looks like they might be the line from Kincardineshire? If that's the case, we might have a connection - my link is through a Lois Burnet, b.abt. 1669 in Southampton, NY, her father was Thomas Burnet who emigrated, and his father was Thomas Burnet (m. Jane Foys) from Leys, Kincardineshire.
