Burness was wounded in the war. He was in an ammo dump explosion and burnt badly. He never could have children because of that. He had medals but I think someone took them when my mom was killed or died (still a mystery). I have his uniform. If I can get his records I can replace them, but I Dont know if they will give his military record to stepdaughter. I am going to find out. Rose

Debbie, this the military picture I have of Burness Wesley RHum, my stepdad..I couldn't remember if I gave it to you when we spoke before. I also have a site on here but have not put anything on it. Where do you live? I have forgotten if you told me. I m in northern CA. inland from San Francisco, on the Delta. I have been bothered lately that I didnt know enough about Jack as we called Burness, genealogy, So, I am going around one more time. I found a headston in HEnry Co, Iowa for a Wesley Rhum and am trying to figure out if it is Burness's grandfather. Burness was very hurt that he was raised in an orphanage. I found a census that listed him and a sister who was 2 years older named Lorene were up to be adopted. The Wesley grave I found on GenWeb HEnry Co, says he was born 1885 and died about 1918.I know this is not your line but do you know any living RHums that are descended from this line? I would love to know what happened. Rose Adams
