Yes, I purchased a reprint of the MM&V book about 14 years ago. My ancestor, Reddick Massengill (whatever spellings) b. abt 1789 Nash Co., NC d abt 1858 Itawamba Co., MS, is mentioned in (trying to recall) about 4 letters in the book. However, not all reported info on his is correct. Enjoy your copy of the book!
I saw that you were looking for info on Revolutionary War service for Soloman or Mathew Massengill. I'm the registrar for my DAR chapter and I did find a record in our database on a Soloman Massengill md Tabitha Cobb that is already an approved patriot. What information do you need?
My maiden name is Massengill but I don't come from the TN Massengills. My guy came from Nash Co., NC and ended up in Mississippi.
