Craig; Your idea about the carnival of African-American biographies is interesting, but why limit it to just blacks who lived in America? I'd like to see this opened up to blacks who lived in Canada (of course I'm gonna say Canada), the Caribbean, Mexico and elsewhere. Yeah, I know that most blacks ended up here, but I think the lives of our black ancestors are important, no matter where they lived.
