My fifth great grandfather, Hans Jacob Wertz, was married to Anna Barbara Hoff on 12-29-1934 in Chester County PA and died on 02-11-1788 in Quincy, Franklin County PA. I have no other info on Anna Barbara, such as date of birth, when and from where she immigrated to America, who her parents were. My "assumption" is that she immigrated into New York. If you have any info on her, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I found a few things about your Coryell
Maria Shores w/o Coryell died Dec 18 1873 at age 31 years buried in Hornbrook cemetery
Coryell was the son of Peter and Joanna Shores siblings sister 2 yrs older Lodoiska brother Mahlon 5 yrs younger and sister Maria 7 yrs younger on 1850 census

Coryell was born Mar 17 1838 died Dec 22 1902 in Towanda is buried in Riverside cemetery served in civil war with 141 regt company I pa volunteer infantry

1880 census shows Coryell remarried to a Rachel he was 43
she was 25 no children in household
Jan 6 1863 Coryell married Betsy Maria Beeman

court house records show Coryell died of heart disease duration 2 days

you might want to order a copy of his pension records from Pa Archives

possible father of Peter could be son of James Shores , Stephen, Jonathan, Silas H, or Elmer of one of the sons of Samuel Shores , William, Joshua (my line) Caleb, Nathaniel or Anthony King Shores

His cousin James also moved there about the same time. I am searching for Samuels parents, I did find one of his older children was born in Canoe Brook NJ in Sussex county. Records show Joshua another son moved from Newark to Bradford with family in 1795 ar age 17. I decend from Joshua. A book called Pioneer and Patriot familes of Bradford County by Clement Heverly has alot of information. Also books from the Hortons in America has some Shores info. I would have to look up Coryell Shores to see who he decends from but I would be glad to send you HQ pages on the family. Also if you havent found already there is a web site by Joyce Tice that is loaded with info as well as a diary of one on the family. Bradford county historial Society has some old photos, I have an original of Joshua Shores mentioned above.
