Hi Joshua, By the way, I'm much more likely to read your comments if you comment on my page (or send me a private message) instead of commenting on yours. :-) A cousin (fourth, maybe? I forget) is the one who wrote it and she consulted my mother and several other of my relatives for it. It was initially published earlier than 1998 (my mom consulted with her in the very early '90s, before I began my own genealogy research) so I'm guessing you have a second publication of the book. Which great-uncle did you meet in MN?
There is an older book on the Browns that another cousin has seen and it seems to be more accurate than this one. This cousin has sent me a number of documents that she scanned at the Ontario Genealogical Society's library and photographs of gravestones if you are interested in me sending copies on to you. Many of the photographs on my own userpage are also of my branch of the Brown line. There are also a lot of grave photos online - search for Innerkip cemetery.
I'd love to hear more about your line if you'd like to send me a private message or maybe we could start emailing?
There are a number of errors in it. It was published in 1998. I just found out it existed 2 weeks ago when I met my Great Uncle for the first time, in MN. It is still exciting to me to have a place to start researching more. I believe our great great grandfathers were brothers.
I should have read your interests before leaving that comment - I'm not fairly certainly you are in fact a member of the same Brown line! :-) Which one are you descended from?
I am in the book, yes, if you mean the one that was self-published in the early '90s. There are a number of errors in it though. The most recent (time-wise) is my grandfather's name - it's actually Earl Joseph Brown.
