I haven't had any Dickey family that I know of in those areas. My family came from Ireland to Pennsylvania, then on to South Carolina and Virginia. Then they went to Tennessee where my great-great grandfather was born. He moved to Kansas during the Civil War and then to Black Bottom and then Marshall (Saline County) Missouri. They moved on to Texas after that and that's where my family was when I was born. We only moved to Tennessee about 20 years ago.
I'll be happy to exchange names with you to see if we have any mutual relations. I've got hundred, if not thousands, of Dickeys in my database.
in your search bar, type in " Missouri Secretary of State". There are lots and lots of census records there. Also, you might try WorldVitalRecords, try their 7 day free trial. you can get lots of info there too. Another, try the st louis catholic cemeteries, www.STL.org/cemeteries
