Lisa you ask how they could have your ggg whatever-grandmother's birth date and no parents. There are several ways including a family bible, grave, letters written etc. In the earliest census you find her-check the folks under and over her- I usually do 5 or 8. After you give up there, research the sibings. I have foud more in my over 30 years in the lines of the sibings, than in mine.
