Michele, My name is Mike Corray and I am from Peoria, IL. My great, great, great grandfather is William Daniel Roberts. I have recently returned to doing family genealogy and am quite interested in the Roberts side of the family. My grandfather George Corray's grandmother was Anjaline Roberts, William's first child. When my grandmother Clara, George's wife, passed on I came into possession of 22 letters written to William and Sarah Ann between 1843 and 1865 that Anjaline had managed to keep over the years. They were very difficult to read and had been kept in a drawer until this past winter. I spent many hours transcribing them into a legible form. They make for very interesting reading about William's family out east, his parents, brothers and sisters and their families. Would you be interested in reading them? Corraymsll@yahoo.com is my e-mail address. I tried yours (from 1997) but the message failed as I expected it would.
Thanks for making contact. What state are you from? Hope you check out our "growing family tree" at http://lauxfamily.tribalpages.com and read about the upcoming 300th Anniversary Reunion at www.freewebs.com/300th.
