Hi Robert,
I am currently researching my Grandfathers father's side of the family which i have traced back to Finchley/Enfield area of Middlesex. My great, great grandfather William J Newman (1857) owned a bakers on Baker street Enfield middlesex. But looking to try and go back a little futher.
Thanks for the group add will be interesting looking into the Newman name as a whole.
thanks Chris
Hello Bob,
I'm afraid I don't know my way about it at all yet! Suspect it is going to be a time-consumer, but this 'comment' page could be very useful if we have a problem. Paul (hello Paul - good to renew acquaintance) is evidently a very useful co-researcher. I will try to add a photo to my profile - if I can find one.

Hi Bob,
Have been researching cousins in 1911 census. Very expensive on line so I have made several visits to Nat. Archives at Kew. Now have large collection of census pages which I could send on to you . Also at Kew copied original divorce papers for your uncle William Newman who married Edith Maud Holmes (Riddlestone). Have you seen these ?.
Paul
Thank you Robert for the compliments on "My Page". You also said "I like the line you put on the Beer group about starting a new discussion for each line. How did you do that?" I am not understanding what you would like information on. Sorry the coffee hasn't clicked in yet! lol
