David Clark Moren 1841 Sevier, Arkansas Territory, United States is my great great grandfather. He passed away in 1928 in Dresden, Navarro County. Today I called the Choctaw Nation and I found out that even if you are Native American you have to be a direct descendent of a person who's NAME APPEARS on the DAWES list, BETWEEN 1898 to 1906 on INDIAN TERRITORY at the time.

After all that breast beating about my failure to find my grandmother's birth in my previous blog entries, when the birth certificate for Florence Brooks eventually arrived, everything was wrong.
