Stephanie Lincecum
Greene Co Ga was made from Washington-(& Oglethorpe & Wilkes) in 1786. It is a burned county-with next to 0.
My Brown's were there before the county line change.
(Ref-a Book we ALL NEED-THE HANDY BOOK FOR GENEALOGIST (newest ed. mine is 7th) by Everton Pub. Inc P O Box 368 Logan, Utal 84321)

William Brown-was there-two of them-making it next to impossible to tell them apart., And Burrell Brown was there, that I think a son-several others.

On Burned Counties of Ga- by the way- if you are not familiar with it.
They burned in two ways- The ones we all hear about-Sherman's March
and they were all made of wood to start off with-so they burned for that reason. Study the county in Ga-you are researching FIRST- to find if it is a burned County. Then do not get your hopes up-but some had SOME records to survive, plus others were replaced after the burning.
Lt. in the Revolution-John Kendrick born 1756 Greenville Co NC- died 1802 Washington Co Ga He married Martha Montgomery born 1756 Chatham Co NC died 1822 Putnam Co. Ga.
Their oldest child (mine) Mary was born 1789 Chatham
Meredith -(male) was born 1790 Wilkes Co Ga
