There are two Reuben's both born about the same time. Mine is the one who is NOT the son of Joseph-Rev Sol.
He married in Monroe Co Ga-1834 and moved to Crawford with his wife Baralby Rolly Bumby Spain.
They had 10 children and he left her-by 1860 when she is alone in Crawford. The sons had to get out of the Civil War to come home and get in the crop and keep the little ones from starving.

Reuben Underwood born 5 Aug 1807-Washington Co Ga (in my estimation) died 29 Mar 1888 Grangerville, Macon, Ga.
His Children were:
Benjamin F 1836
Charles Evans 1838
William M 1840
Mary Ann 1842
George
John Howard 1844
David Cobb 1847
Sarah Elizabeth 1850
Reuben Isham 1852 7th son of a 7th son
Roderick Rutland 1854
Bertha Ida Beatrice 1857

Need to know from whence he comes! Ms. Gerry Hill-Albany Ga

By 1840-Sarah had moved to Monroe Co Ga-and before that-two of her sons show up in records, and one dtr and grandtr. Sarah was the only one around when Reuben married-in the next census- A lot more is needed to tie this family together.
