Warsaw Woman Dies Following Operation Here
Mrs. Lewis Hunt, aged 35, of Warsaw died inn the city hospital Tuesday
afternoon at 3:45 o'clock following a major operation for appendicitis and
gallstones.
Susie Elsie Ferryman was born in Champaign co., and moved to the vicinity of
Warsaw about three years ago. She was a member of the Warsaw M.E. church.
She was married to Mr. Hunt on May 17, 1919, and to this union were born seven
children.
Surviving are the husband, six children, Millie, Grace, Geneva, Betty Lou,
Joan and Lewis Allen, all of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William
Ferryman; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Gary of Milford Center, and five brothers,
Walter, Kenton, Merrell, Albert and Alvin, all of near Mechanicsburg.
Short services will be conducted at the late home Thursday morning at 7:30
o'clock, followed by services at the home of a brother, Albert, of near
Mechanicsburg Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. S. Lee Whiteman of Warsaw
will officiate and burial will be made in the Mechanicsburg cemetery.
Additional Comments:
Elsie was my grandmother. I found this obituary among my mother's records
when she died last year. Elsie is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery.
