Just discovered that you are also researching the SUGGS surname. Mine were in GA in the early to mid 1800's, and in NC in the late 1700's, very early 1800's. (Sarah 'Sally' Suggs, daughter of McKinley Suggs, son of John Howell Suggs) Anything familiar - names or places? (I realize that neither of those states are on your list of places you are researching, but my Suggs line did end up blending into a Smith line that ended up in Arkansas.
