I inherited most of my IRISH line, so haven't done much of this research of my own, but as I understand it, this is my line:

I am a descendant of Content Irish born (1718-1761) in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island married Joseph Gifford (1711-1810) 22 Oct 1837.

My name is Colin John Bromfield HAMILTON. I am resurching my family. I have been able to trace my family back to about 1818. Mr William Thomas Hamilton was born in Dublin Ireland. I am led to beleive he became a quallified Surgeon. He left Ireland to move to Wirral in the county of Cheshire.
He married a Mary Knox in the church of St. Marys Birkenhead in the county of Cheshire in 19th of August 1846.
The family grew as follows-

John Hamilton about 1846-
William Knox Hamilton about 1850- 1910.
Catherine Rosetta Hamilton about 1851-1883.
Charles Andrew Hamilton about 1854-
Henery Bernard Hamilton about 1857- 1881.
Edward Lawrence Hamilton about 1858 -
James Hans Hamilton about 1861 1897.

My name is Barbara Diveney, already a member of Genealogy Wise. Diveney is my married name, maiden name was Hilton. My husband's ancestors came from Ireland originally and there is some confusion which is the correct spelling of our surname. I have found several variations, but most of my husband family spell Diveney this way Anybody out there who is a Diveney, Diviney??? Barbara, Australia

Karen Carter - Catherine Walsh was born in 1859 in Skeagh, Skibbereen in southwest County Cork Ireland. Around 1879 she married Daniel Harrington of Kilkilleen, Skibbereen. Don't know how many children they had - only know about 5 of them - 1) Mary (1880-1963) became a nun, 2) Peter (1888-1856) became a priest 3) Catherine married Thomas Murphy of Leap, Co Cork - they lived in Leap 4) Ellen (1809s-1955) - she married Timothy O'Regan and lived in Kilkilleen, 5) Stephan (1899-1970) became a priest. Since the span between first child, Mary and Stephan is 19 years, I'm sure there were quite a few more children.

Barbara I know very little about my Harrington ancestors but I can share what I do know. My greatgrandmothers name was Ellen Harrington her fathers name was Michael F. She emigrated to the U.S. when she was 16 she married Edmond Lawlor from Co. Kerry they had 11 children all born in Malden Mass. 7 sons that survived to adulthood. I know she had two sisters that came with her I believe one was named Margarite and not sure of the other one they were known as the Harrington beauties I heard they used to dress to the nines and walk in the Easter parade every year. She also had a brother that was killed in the New York New Haven Hartford Railroad accident in the early 1900's. Her oldest son John was murdered in 1917.

Karen Carter - I have Harringtons from County Cork in my family tree - specifically from southwest County Cork, near Skibbereen in a townland called Kilkilleen.

Hi my Irish surnames are Lawlor from Rathmore County Kerry and Harrington from County Cork.
