Hi, Val. Thanks for the comments and information you provided on the Schoonovers and Catlins. I appreciated it. Hard to believe it has been over a year since I've had time to concentrate on genealogy.
Val, if someone ever wrote a book about "How to do genealogy" they would make a million $ +. Our senior researcher for the clan (who actually does this full time) is not a Snodgrass. Most of the information that I have in the database was sent to me, or brought to me by her.
She is presently moving to SLC so she can keep their information correct and do some of her own research.
Yes Val it was I who sent you the invite to this fabulous site. I sent out 700 + invitations to all of those address in my address book who had links to Snodgrass surname. A lot have responded, a lot have not. Some people are waiting to see if this site goes anywhere.

Susie Snodgrass Schoolcraft, know her well. And yes I am a part of the Snodgrass Clan Society of America. A lot of the information that is on the Internet came through my desk from 1 of over 300 members of this clan or 1300 of the other researchers that I've be in touch with over the last 18 years here in the Charleston, SC area.
Charlou Dolan feeds a lot of info to me for the web site after she's put it through the Mormons.
Mary Elizabeth Catlin, my ggg grandmother married Martin Van Buren Schoonover 4 Nov 1860. He was born 'on the Atlantic' in 1836. Their son, Richard Eugene Schoonover was born 17 Oct 1861 in Owego, NY and died 30 Sept 1943 in Lexington Oregon. Family oral history relates that they or their heirs came west to Oregon Territory in a wagon train. I have no other information about either of them, but am just beginning my search.

I don't have all the answers, but I do have a large database of Snodgrass info available.
