Phyllis, I was looking at a map to see where Termini Basso was in relation to Montemaggiore Belsito, and I couldn't find it. Is Termini Basso a shortened version of Contrada San Girolamo Basso outside Termini Imerese near the coastline? If so, then our ancestral villages are only about 15km apart, which I think bears a pretty good chance that we could have common relatives. Do you have any Gelsomino surnames?
I don't have any Giunta/Guinta/Junta branches on my tree...yet :)
My Italian lines are probably the least researched ones so far (in terms of Italian-based research, not research in the US), but I would agree with you that most are probably related somehow since the surname isn't that common. My known group is from Montemaggiore Belsite, Palermo, Sicily, which is a small town of about 4300. I'm not sure how centralized the Campagna lines are in Italy, but all the ones I know of are from Sicily, so perhaps they are not that regionally dispersed.
