Hey Joyce, you guys have had it really hot over there I hear. My Slayden't were in Fulton for a time, then Graves, and then McCracken Co. The majority of Slaytons were in Hopkins, so they may have filtered into Caldwell. There are many different lines and progenitors of these Slaton, etc groups. My partner is the premier Slaton, Slayton, Slayden researcher and we have a website, private, and a big DNA project with many lines and haplogroups. I am in the I1B, group whatever that is.
My guy is a Slayton and his haplogroup is totally different, whew. Even tho this is Kentucky.
Best regards, and I love your photos.
there are some Joyce family members buried in the Shady Grove cemetery in Shady Grove Kentucky. Also Brenda Joyce Jerome has writtena several books on Crittenden County Ky and I have about 10 of her books and will be glad to look up the names for you of any Joyce family
Hi Joyce: I have found several interesting records including a Marriage License and Return for Kenneth Smith and Hildur E. Bloomdahl in 1931 in Seattle, WA.
I have the 1920 and 1930 census for Gus Bloomdahl which you may already have and some other records. Where can I send them via e-mail? Jim
Joyce, I can take pictures in Stanwood, WA and Camano Island plus Skagit Co., WA but have no boos listing any cemeteries. Several area cemeteries are on line in various lists where you can search for Gus. Once we know where his grave is, it can be photographed.
