Daisy, Thank you for responding. My father never found the father of Merrill Thomas. But somehow I stumbled on History of the Town of Hampton (NH) that covers the Thomas line back to James Thomas. I believe you and Fred provided the research. I saw Tufts Thomas and and his offspring that included John. The dates and locations line up for John to be the father of Merrill as you have written. However, I have not seen a list of John's offspring. I am working on the assumption that John is Merrill's father. Thank you for all your work on this. My email: cecilia121@myfairpoint.net Herb
Daisy, I am related to Merrill Thomas of Byron, ME. I believe Merrill is related to a John Thomas and before that a Tufts Thomas from New Hampshire. Perhaps the Thomas's you have information on are related to the Thomas's i just mentioned. There is also a Fred Thomas in the mix.
