Lockamy

I am looking for any info on the Lockamy family; specifically, Wilks Lockamy(wife's name unknown) had two children, Archibald or Arch and Annie. They lived in NC. Archibald married Lilly Ann Johnson and Annie is said to have married O.B. Solomon. Wilks's father was probably Joseph Lockamy.

Only 2 show up in the 1930 NC census with that exact spelling. Elizabeth (nee Barefoot) and Ludie. You need to add more information such as approx. dates you think you are looking for.

Wilks would have probably been born in the 1830s or 40s because Archibald was born in 1865.

No luck in the 1870 NC census for any of those names. There is a Lockemy family in the 1880 census for NC that includes and Archie age 19. His parents are listed as Joseph J. age 51 and Rhody E. age 33. There is a Wiley Lockemy in Ark., age 63 fathers name was Wiley. There are 5 in the family but no Archie. Could be there in an index with a variant spelling of the surname. I also suspect Wilks in a nickname or maybe a middle name so he may be listed with a different first name.
