The DAR has a patriot, John Johnson [DAR Ancestor #A0211935] married to 3rd wife, Catherine (Caty) Johnson with one proven child: Mary (Polly) married to John Hulsey.  No lady has provided proof that this John Johnson ever lived in Wilkes County, Georgia.  His DAR record states: "Future applicants must prove correct service."

I would suggest looking for books about the history of Wilkes County, Georgia and see if he is mentioned.
