Samuel Smith Fishkill Halfmoon New York

Have pension papers for Samuel  but have never been able to determine for sure his parents.  I believe they were Tories and that may be the reason for his migration to Indiana.  Believe he married a Betsy Peters.  Any help wouild be greatly appreciated.
