Hi,
My great grandmother in Avis May Fisher,she was born in May 1898 in Wisconsin. Her father was Ennis Fisher who was born in Aug 1862 also in Wisconsin.Ennis's father was William Fisher who was born in New York in 1833. My Fisher line hits a wall with John Willis Fisher. He was born Jun 1803 in Vermont. He married Sophrona Love in New York and moved to Wisconsin.

My Fisher/fischer ancestors came from Germany to Philadelphia in the early 1700's, moved to Bucks county, then Centre County PA, followed by some moving to Illinois in 1840 to Rock Grove. My great great grandfather was John Fisher with brothers Jacob and Samuel. His son Henry Fisher married Hannah Pottast. Their son Elmer Jerome Fisher was my grandfather. He had six sisters who married named Lottie Bell Goodrich, Mabel Mae Krumrine, Dora Keister, Nettie Henrietta Dreibelbis, Barbara Bingham, and Susan Luella Cross. My maiden name was Fisher. I am descended from John A. Fisher, born 1801, probably in SC or GA, died about 1892 in Washington Parish, LA. He married Anastasia Susan Toney, daughter of Benjamin Toney and Elizabeth Collins.
