Here is a great opportunity for those of you who live in Southern Arizona and want to know more about the
Legacy Family Tree genealogy program as well as those who already use it.
This coming Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 2010 Geoff Rassmussen from Millennia, producers of Legacy software, will present a seminar in Sun City Vistoso.
The seminar will be held in the Vistoso Center, 1565 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd.
in the Apache Room from 1 - 4 p.m. If you have heard Geoff speak at any
conferences or seminars in the area, you know what a great teacher he is.

Refreshments will be served. Seating is limited so reservations are
required. We would be happy to have persons from your society attend. Geoff
will be teaching sessions on Legacy software. Please contact Barb Krecklow
at rubrb@comcast.net for reservations or information.

Is there any way in Legacy to graph the age at death of all members of your family tree?

Geoff--I apologize for getting your name wrong in my earlier communication.

Greg--I took your advice and used Mozy for backup. Now my computer is a mess and I can't get much of anything. I downloaded the Mozy material--i.e. saved files. What do I do now? How do I get it on the various programs? Sorry to bother you, but I just don't know what to do.

Bob is right. I remarked upon this in my review of Legacy 7 in 2008, and there have been several updates since, yet it has not been fixed yet.

Legacy has always loaded in C:\Legacy - has never caused any problems in the 3+ years I have been using it and MANY updates.

On Windows 7 - 64 bit OS, the "Program Files" folder is for 64 bit apps. The "Program Files (x86)" is for 32 bit apps. I did not load in either. I installed in the Legacy-default "C:\Legacy".

Thank you, Keith, that did the trick.

Go to OPTIONS - Customize - Data Format and see if somehow the boxes were checked. Be sure the first 3 have the "Don't change what I enter" checked - might work... Keith

Now, I am really upset!

I brought the data in from a gedcom, which I used yesterday to transfer the data to my website. It all went on OK.

Now, after a second attempt to bring it back into Legacy, and having unchecked the Format names box, the data STILL is in uppercase!

It only took an hour this time, though!
