Ella - 97 years! Bless her heart! My mom will be 91 soon, and she is as feisty as ever.
I also had to deal with lost information in a computer crash, it took me almost a year to input everything again. I have since learned to back things up, and often.
I took a break from researching but picked it back up last spring. I searched St. Boniface cemetery for the graves of the parents of Agnes Fischer (Jacob and Magdelena), as well as Peter Kirsch. I couldn't find anything, there are so many headstones with the writing worn off. But I did find out, through the office at Calvary cemetery, that Peter Kirsch was moved from St. Boniface to Mount Carmel cemetery, shortly after he died. He is buried next to Agnes, and I have been able to pinpoint exactly where their graves are, but there are no longer headstones for them. Unfortunately, they are in the old section of the cemetery, which has been badly neglected for many years.
I have found birth records for Fred Kirsch, my grandmother Frances, a Magdalena Kirsch (I am guessing this is Ella, since the birth date is listed as March 1891), and an Agnes Kirsch (Rose, maybe? Born in 1904).
I will be posting these records soon on here, along with some photos I am hoping to identify. I am so happy to have found this site, it's a great place to exchange info.
Great to hear from you!
Fran
Hi Ella,
Good to hear from you. I will contact my sister sue and see if I can get those photos out to you. My mother has had some medical issues but is doing fine now. My email is jfa2005@sbcglobal.net. Feel free to email me anytime. I have just recently been contacted by Fran. I hope to learn more about the Kirsch family soon. 97 is a very impressive age!

Thanks Ella I would be glad to share what ever info I uncover. Sadly, I am having a very slow start to my journey. My grandmother was not much of a talker it appears. I am having trouble even uncovering her maden name. This is where I hope you can help me get started. I have found a long list of Kirsch family members living in chicago, 27th ward. on the 1900,1910 census. Peter/Agnes,Henry,Charles,Francis,William,Frederik,Rose and Alice. Would you be able to confirm that this is our group?
