Hi Again Joseph,
Will scan info and send it to you sometime this weekend. Sorry to hear of Shirley's ills, so glad she is doing better. Please give her my best the next time you talk to her.

Joseph,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. This Spring and Summer have been doozey's. Taking care of my 97yr old Mom.
If you will give me your email address, I will send what little I have on the Kirsch's to you. It has been so long since our original contact, that you may well have more information than I do. Also, Shirley promised to send some pictures your grandmother had. Said she was going to get them from her daughter. I'm thinking she has forgotten, hope she is doing well.
Regards, Ella Brooks Decker

Joseph, It doesn't sound like I am any further along on the Kirsch journey than you are, as I just started on this branch of the family last year. I have not transcribed my notes onto my laptop yet and sadly, they are in Michigan right now. However, I will try to do a little digging on the internet and see if I can come up with anything. It has been my experience that a lot of the births in those days were assisted at home by midwives. That is not to say that there is not a birth certificate floating around somewhere.

One more thing. Do you know the church that Alice Kirsch would have been baptised at? Married at?
Or hospital born at? I think a sister to Alice would likely share that same background information. As you can tell... I am deserate for a "starting point". How far up the Kirsch family tree have you traveled? As you can see I am really reaching for the first branch and have spent hours researching Kirsch families that are unreleated in an effort to work backward.

Hello Joseph, I guess that would makes us 1st cousins twice removed(or some such thing). I tend to get confused on whether one is a first cousin removed any number of times or a second cousin and so forth. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mom and G'ma several years back and have only recently started researching the Kirsch branch of the family. I would be most happy to collaborate with you on the Kirsch's. I suspect, though, that you probably have more info on them than I do. We are in Arizona right now and unfortunately, I left my Kirsch's back in Michigan this year. Will be back there the 1st of April. Cheers, Ella
