Pike, Meriwether, Upson, Troup, and Harris

I am researching surnames-MIDDLEBROOKS, GATES, THOMPSON, PARK/PARKS, and GUISE. My GATES and MIDDLEBROOKS lived in Woodbury, Meriwether, GA. Other associated surnames are HOWARD and SUTTON, EVANS and DIXON.

My Thompsons and Park/Parks line originated in Pike county in Molena and surrounding areas. Another surname, ALFORD, is also associated with these families.

My EVANS are in Meriwether. My Sally GATES married Mathis EVANS.

The Gates lived in Greene, before Meriwether. Some migrated to Tx. Parks were also earlier in Greene.

I was not aware the Gates and Park/Parks had roots in Greene Co. I wiil have to check that out. I have Brewers from Greene Co. Thanks for the info.
